Today we created plant and animal cells using different types of food or candy. Here are our finished projects. Can you determine which are plant cells and which are animal cells? Can you figure out what the different types of candy or food are supposed to represent?

Week of August 26th
Here is some important information for this week:
Tuesday - Plant & Animal Cell Lab
Wednesday - Library
Friday - Spelling test, spelling projects due
This Friday, August 30th, we will be holding our Student Council Elections. We will be electing 1 boy and 1 girl from our class as first semester student council representatives. In order to run for Student Council, each candidate must give a short speech on why they should be elected. After speeches are given, we will then vote. If a student is not elected, they will be allowed the opportunity to run for our 2nd semester representatives in January. Those students that decide to run can create posters to hang up in the classroom or right outside our classroom, however, student are NOT allowed to pass anything out (candy, goodies, etc.) as part of their campaign. Student council meetings are at 7:30AM before school on the following days:
September 11
September 25
October 9
October 23
November 6
November 20
December 4
December 18
